The Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) is a body established by the Act of Parliament in 2020 (Act 1023) to regulate, promote and administer technical and vocational education and training.

JOB TITLE:            ASSISTANT REGISTRAR, MODERATION

DIVISION:              OPERATIONS

DIRECTORATE:    STANDARDS, CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT AND ENFORCEMENT

UNIT:                         SCD/ENFORCEMENT

REPORTS TO:         SENIOR MANAGER, SCD&E

SUPERVISES:          ASSISTANT MANAGER, SCD&E, CHIEF ASSISTANT, SCD&E

 

JOB PURPOSE                                            

To provide operational support for the efficient and effective performance of the standards, curriculum development and enforcement functions of the Commission.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supervise the collection of data for the formulation of policies
  2. Implement programmes and activities of the unit.
  3. Participate in the enforcement of standards and regulations on TVET.
  4. Collate data for the development of guidelines, processes and procedures on standards, curriculum development and enforcement for the TVET sector.
  5. Collate data for the development and maintenance of a database on standards and curriculum developed.
  6. Facilitate capacity building programmes and activities on standard, curriculum development and enforcement for the TVET sector.
  7. Compile data on complaints and appeals relating to standard, curriculum development and enforcement.
  8. Collate data for the preparation of work plan and budget of the unit.
  9. Collate data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the unit.
  10. Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff in the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Education, Physical Sciences, Applied Sciences and Social Sciences (Economics) or other related disciplines.
  • A professional qualification in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of one (1) year post-bachelor’s relevant work experience in a reputable institution.
  • Demonstrate Supervision and Leadership skills or aptitude
  • Be fully Computer literate in Microsoft word, Excel, Power point and spread sheets
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be medically fit for work
  • Must pass a selection interview conducted by the Commission in collaboration with the Public Services Commission.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supervise the collection of data for the formulation of policies.
  2. Participate in the conduct of research.
  3. Facilitate the publication of research reports.
  4. Collect data for preparation of research proposals.
  5. Facilitate the identification of possible areas for research.
  6. Collate data for the development of a comprehensive database on the programmes and activities of the Unit
  7. Facilitate the development and review of the Commission’s monitoring and evaluation framework, systems and tools.
  8. Gather data on the skills situation in the country.
  9. Facilitate the impact evaluation of projects.
  10. Implement the plans, monitoring and evaluation activities of the Commission.
  11. Collate data for the preparation of monitoring and evaluation reports.
  12. Collate data for the development of project proposals, business modules and business plans.
  13. Collate data for the preparation of project reports.
  14. Implement projects of the Commission.
  15. Collate data for the preparation of the work plan and budget for the Unit.
  16. Collate data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the Unit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collect data for the formulation of policies;
  2. Implement programmes and activities of the Unit;
  3. Facilitate the organisation of meetings, seminars, conferences and workshops;
  4. Collect data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the Unit;
  5. Collect data for the preparation of annual budget and work plan of the Unit;
  6. Cover and produce minutes of meetings;
  7. Draft routine correspondence.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social; Sciences or any other related fields from an accredited tertiary institution;
  • Must have completed National Service.
  • A minimum of three 2-3 years working experience in a reputable organization.
  • Be fully Computer literate in Microsoft word, Excel, Power point and spread sheets

JOB PURPOSE

To provide operational support for the efficient and effective performance of the transport management functions of the Council.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collects data for the formulation of transport policies.
  2. Implements guidelines, procedures and safety standards on transport management.
  3. Implements programmes and activities of the Unit.
  4. Records incidents involving official vehicles of the Council.
  5. Facilitates training programmes for staff within the transport unit.
  6. Undertakes the registration and insurance of new vehicles
  7. Undertakes the renewal of insurance, roadworthiness and other valid documentation of the Council’s fleet.
  8. Collates data for the preparation of guidelines on the maintenance, utilization and disposal of fleet of the Council.
  9. Collates data for the development and update of Transport Management Information Systems.
  10. Update Vehicle Register.
  11. Collect data for the preparation of budget and work plan for the Unit.
  12. Collect data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Transport and Logistics, Mechanical Engineering or any other related field its equivalent professional qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Must have completed national service.
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • A minimum of three 2-3 years working experience in a reputable organization.
  • Be fully Computer literate in Microsoft word, Excel, Power point and spread sheets
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be medically fit for work
  • Must pass a selection interview conducted by the Commission in collaboration with the Public Services Commission.

JOB PURPOSE

To provide operational support for the efficient and effective performance of the Transport Management functions of the Commission.

1.1.1        DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Conveys assigned officials, goods and equipment to and from designated destinations;
  2. Logs in trips and other relevant information in the log books on official vehicles;
  3. Ensures the maintenance of pre and post trip records;
  4. Facilitates the investigation of incidents involving official vehicles;
  5. Examines vehicles and submits periodic

1.1.2        QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a BECE qualification;
  • A professional level qualification or industry skill-based Certification in Auto-Mechanics;
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License not below ‘D’ class;
  • A minimum of six (6) years post license relevant work experience
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be medically fit for work

  1. Loads and offloads goods/materials;
  2. Performs menial/manual duties;
  3. Keeps the office environment clean;
  4. Performs horticultural duties;
  5. Cleans offices premises, kitchenette and official residences;
  6. Collaborates with security unit to keep the office premise

1.1.2        QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of BECE or MSLC;
  • Must be physically fit;
  • A minimum of three (3) years working experience;
  • Must pass a selection interview conducted by the Commission in collaboration with the Public Services
