CTVET Engages the Media Ahead of 2025 Certificate II Examinations
On Tuesday, 24th June 2025, the Director General of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), Mr. Zakaria Sulemana, supported by members of the management team, held a press briefing to engage the media on preparations for the upcoming Certificate II Examinations, scheduled to take place from 30th June to 28th July 2025.
A total of 55,295 candidates, comprising 40,339 males and 14,956 females, are expected to sit for the examinations across various technical and vocational institutions nationwide. The briefing emphasized that the Certificate II Examination is not merely an academic requirement, it is a national milestone underscoring Ghana’s commitment to building a skilled, competent, and future-ready workforce through quality TVET.

In his remarks, Mr. Sulemana underscored the vital role of TVET in Ghana’s industrialization, job creation, and overall socio-economic development. He called on all stakeholders including students, educators, parents, and employers, to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism throughout the examination period.
He further outlined a number of robust measures implemented to safeguard the credibility of the exams. These include enhanced invigilation protocols, real-time monitoring, secure storage and transport of exam papers, and the continued serialization of exam papers. For this year’s examinations, six different exam series will be used to promote fairness, consistency, and credibility across all centres.

Mr. Sulemana encouraged candidates to approach the exams with honesty and confidence, reminding them that their performance not only creates pathways to further training and employment but also reflects their readiness to contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s development agenda.
CTVET remains committed to administering credible, competency-based examinations that reinforce the value of TVET certification and uphold the integrity of Ghana’s technical and vocational education system.
