CTVET Director General Leads Strategic Planning Meeting Ahead of 2nd Roundtable on Private Sector Engagement in TVET
On Tuesday, 18th June 2025, Mr. Zakaria Sulemana, Director-General of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), led a strategic planning meeting with representatives from the Pact for Skills project, implemented by GIZ, in preparation for the upcoming 2nd Roundtable on Private Sector Engagement and Partnership in TVET.

Supporting the Director General were Mr. Anthony Seyram Kwame Zu, Deputy Director-General, and Mr. Samuel Thompson, Director of Policy, Planning, Projects, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation. From the Pact for Skills project, Mrs. Patricia Boso, Senior Advisor, and Miss Baerbel Heiser, Technical Advisor for Private Sector Engagement and Green Skills, participated in the session.

The meeting focused on shaping the direction, structure, and expected outcomes of the upcoming roundtable, with emphasis on fostering strong collaboration between the public and private sectors within Ghana’s TVET ecosystem. Key strategies to encourage industry participation and ensure alignment with labour market demands were also discussed.
This session underscores the Director-General’s leadership in strengthening stakeholder engagement and advancing a more responsive, demand-driven TVET system in Ghana.
