CTVET Deepens Collaboration with Principals of Colleges of Agriculture under the Leadership of the Director General
The Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), under the leadership of its Director General, Mr. Zakaria Sulemana, has held a strategic meeting with Principals of the Colleges of Agriculture to explore areas of mutual interest and deepen collaboration in advancing technical and vocational education and training in Ghana.
The meeting, led by Mr. Sulemana, provided a platform for open and solution-oriented dialogue focused on aligning teacher education with the evolving needs of the TVET sector. Discussions centred on enhancing the delivery of competency-based training, promoting innovation in skills development, and strengthening the role of Colleges of Agriculture in preparing future TVET instructors and professionals.

As the regulatory body for TVET in Ghana, CTVET, under the leadership of Mr. Zakaria Sulemana, highlighted that meaningful progress in skills development can only be achieved through strong partnerships across the entire education system. This includes not only training institutions and industry partners, but also teacher training colleges, whose role in preparing the next generation of TVET educators is essential.
TVET remains central to Ghana’s national development strategy, providing learners with practical, industry-aligned skills that drive economic growth, job creation, and innovation. By engaging directly with stakeholders such as the Colleges of Agriculture, the Commission, through the leadership of its Director-General, is reinforcing its commitment to building a unified, inclusive, and responsive TVET system.
CTVET remains dedicated to strengthening partnerships that ensure technical and vocational education is not only accessible but also relevant and transformative for Ghana’s youth and economy.
