Before joining the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) as Deputy Director-General, Kwame Zu was a Senior Lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University.

He joined the Kumasi Technical University in June 2011 as Lecturer and rose to the rank of Senior Lecturer. He was the Head of the Department of Agropreneurship at the Kumasi Technical University from August 2014 to September 2016. He has served on several boards and committees of the Kumasi Technical University.

He obtained a BSc Agriculture degree from the University of Ghana in 2007. He subsequently read a Master’s programme in the Department of Crop Science of the University of Ghana and was awarded an MPhil Postharvest Technology degree in 2010. He is currently pursuing a PhD. Postharvest Technology programme at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

He has played many leadership roles within the Ghanaian society.

He is a Christian and married with three beautiful daughters.
